Experts: Children Need To Know About Healthy Eating

It is the duty of parents to acquaint children with healthy eating, say nutrition and fitness experts

It is the duty of parents to acquaint children with healthy eating . This was announced to Bulgaria ON AIR by nutritionist Ognyan Simeonov and fitness instructor Tsveta Kapitanova. They presented various methods for healthy eating in the studio of "Bulgaria in the Morning".

"It should not be banned without explanation. Otherwise, the feeling of the 'forbidden fruit' is created and so we achieve nothing. Every harmful food has a substitute and it is the task of parents and their children to eat healthily, " Kapitanova said.

For his part, Simeonov pointed out that it is better for parents to cook and prepare their children's food than for them to buy it themselves and thus eat unhealthily. "Children should not be given money to buy food from the shops. Everything there is harmful. Parents should prepare the child's breakfast and, if necessary, put it in a box so that he can eat it at school. "he thinks.

With the change of weather and the coming of spring, we need to get rid of some bad habits and start eating healthier, experts explained.

"People know what to avoid, but they don't. Obviously, harmful foods are all preservatives, monosodium glutamate, glucose-fructose syrup. These are cookies, jelly candies and everything like that. I replace jelly candies with fresh oranges. , honey and jelly at the end of the mixture ", shared Kapitanova.

According to Ognyan Simeonov, skipping breakfast is a major mistake in eating. "For people who get up very early in the morning, a good start is either pre-soaked raw nuts or a bucket of yoghurt with oatmeal, which should be soaked before being added to the milk. The yoghurt should be at room temperature," explained the nutritionist.
