Required products :

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/3 tea cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon melted butter
  • 2 eggs at room temperature
  • 1/4 whole milk at room temperature
  • 1 large apple, peeled and cut into thin slices
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
  • walnuts and caramel sauce for sprinkling

Method of preparation :

 

  • In a food processor, grind the walnuts with the sugar.
  • Transfer them to a large bowl and add the flour, cinnamon and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, butter and milk.
  • Transfer them to the flour mixture and mix well until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
  • Grease the bottom of a cupcake tin (or small pan) with a diameter of about 23 centimeters.
  • Pour the dough into it, arrange the apple slices on top and sprinkle with caramel sauce.
  • Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 35-40 minutes until golden brown (or until the toothpick comes out clean from the cake).
  • Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before transferring the apple tartlet to a suitable tray.
  • Serve the cake, garnished with caramel and walnuts.
