Required products :
- 4 medium-sized pears, peeled and cleaned of seeds
- 1/2 tea cup apple sauce
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves, ground
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 tea cup oatmeal
- 1/2 cup fine oatmeal
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
Method of preparation :
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
- Grease a square baking dish approximately 20 cm in size and cover it with baking paper.
- Puree two of the pears and transfer the puree to a medium bowl.
- Add the apple sauce, peanut butter and vanilla extract. Stir.
- Add the cinnamon, ginger, cloves, salt, flour, oatmeal and baking powder. Stir with a wooden spoon until smooth.
- Cut the remaining pears into cubes and add them to the cake batter.
- Stir gently and pour into the prepared form.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean from the center of the cake.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing and serving.
