Required products :

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons flour of your choice
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 250 grams of unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon + 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 eggs at room temperature
  • 500 grams of prunes, halved and each half cut into 4 slices
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Method of preparation :

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and move the grill to the bottom.
  • Grease a square baking tin measuring 20 cm, cover the bottom with baking paper and grease again.
  • In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat the butter with 1 teaspoon of sugar for 4-5 minutes.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating the mixture after each addition.
  • Add the dry mixture and mix with a spatula or wooden spoon until smooth.
  • Pour the cake batter into the form and flatten it.
  • Arrange the sliced ​​prunes on top so that the slices are as close together as possible.
  • Mix the remaining sugar with the cinnamon and sprinkle with the fruit.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes until golden brown or until the toothpick comes out clean from the center of the cake.
