How To Cook Chicken Breast With Chickpeas And Spinach - Recipe

Necessary products

  • 4 chicken breasts cut into pieces
  • 1 can (400 grams) chickpeas, drained
  • 250 grams of spinach
  • 200 milliliters of chicken broth
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cinnamon stick, broken in half
  • 1 tablespoon dried coriander
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • juice and peel of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon oil

 

Method of preparation

Heat the oil in a large pan and fry the onion inside for 4-5 minutes. Increase the temperature and add the chicken. Fry for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.

Pour the spices and grated lemon peel. Stir and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Pour chickpeas and chicken broth. Put the lid on the pan and simmer for 5 minutes.

Finally add the spinach and cover again for 2-3 minutes. Stir and sprinkle with lemon juice. Serve the dish while it is still warm. Enjoy your meal!
