Required products :

For the rolls :

  • 4 skinless chicken leg fillets, halved
  • 8 strips of colored bacon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

For the spice mix :

  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot red pepper / optional /
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • black pepper to taste, freshly ground

Method of preparation :

 

  • Preheat oven to 200 degrees and cover a large baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Mix the spices in a small bowl and mix well.
  • Transfer the brown sugar to a small bowl.
  • Roll the chicken fillets in the spice mix and shake off the excess.
  • Place each of them at one end of a strip of bacon and roll.
  • Roll in brown sugar and distribute in the prepared pan.
  • Sprinkle the chicken rolls with olive oil and bake for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Use a brush to smear them profusely with the separated sauce.
  • Serve the packaged fillets warm on a can of mashed potatoes and lettuce of your choice.
