Required products :

  • 230 grams of cream cheese, soft
  • 1 and 1/4 tea cups cheddar cheese, grated (or yellow cheese)
  • 1 medium-sized pear, cut into small cubes
  • 1 stalk green onion, chopped (or parsley)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup roasted walnuts (or pecans), crushed

Method of preparation :

Combine cream cheese, cheddar, pear, white onion, salt and pepper.

Spread a piece of cling film and wrap the cheese mixture in it in the shape of a ball. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to 2 days.

Pour the walnuts and the green part of the onion into a shallow dish, roll the cheese ball in the mixture and serve.

Spread on crackers, toast or as an appetizer.
