Required products :

For the dough :

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lukewarm water
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 4 tablespoons dried herbs / optional /

About the filling :

  • 2 teaspoons grated cheese
  • 8 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped

For sprinkling :

  • dried herbs of your choice

Method of preparation :

  • In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients for the dough.
  • Beat with a mixer on high speed for about 1 minute, using the dough attachments.
  • Add the cheese and garlic and stir with a wooden spoon until evenly distributed.
  • Grease the bottom and walls of a pan with approximate dimensions of 23/33 cm with olive oil.
  • Pour the dough into it, cover and leave to rise at room temperature for 1 hour.
  • Sprinkle with dried herbs and bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove the pan from the oven, wait 5 minutes and turn the bread over on a wire rack to cool.
  • Serve the bread warm (but not hot) or at room temperature.
