Required products :

1 kg of shrimp, cleaned
1/4 tea cup vegetable oil
1 piece of ginger, about 2 centimeters, peeled and finely chopped
4 large garlic cloves, finely chopped
4 tablespoons sugar

For the marinade :

1/4 teaspoon salt kosher
2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
4 teaspoons water

Method of preparation :

In a large bowl, combine salt, sugar, chili powder and water.
Stir well until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved.
Add the shrimp and let them marinate at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Heat the oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Add the ginger and garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
Sprinkle with sugar and continue cooking for another 1-2 minutes.
Drain the shrimp in a colander and carefully transfer them to the pan.
Increase the heat to medium and stir constantly for 3-4 minutes.
Serve the ginger shrimp warm, garnished with rice or anything else to taste.
