How to make naturally colored pancakes?

Make the dough by beating the eggs with the sugar and salt, add the flour. Then pour the warm milk, baking soda (or 1 teaspoon of baking powder) and beat again. The dough should be liquid enough. You can leave it for 20 minutes and during that time prepare the dyes. And if they are prepared in advance, continue with the pancakes.

You can make green pancakes from all kinds of green spices - parsley, arugula, dill ... If you use some of these plants, do not overdo it, as each of the spices has a characteristic aroma that you may not like if it is very saturated. Another way to get green is to use peas, even frozen ones.

This recipe uses 3 colors - orange, green and pink, but you could improvise, of course. Grate carrots and beets and squeeze the juice from the vegetables. Finely chop the spinach and drain its juice. Divide the dough into 3 parts in 3 different bowls. Add to each of the colored liquids and mix well.

Did you know that if you combine sorrel and lemon, you will get the taste of an apple.

Bake pancakes in a hot pan, pouring a little of the dough into it. If they stick to the bottom of the pan and turning is difficult, put a little fat in the mixture (1 tablespoon) or grease the pan with butter before each pancake.

You already have delicious colored pancakes :)

Enjoy your meal!
