How To Cook Mexican Bread With Vegetables And Chicken - Recipe

A quick but really impressive Mexican dish served with a traditional Bulgarian tarator. The combination of the two cultures is worth a try.

Required products :

  • 1 packet of bread
  • 1 large onion, cut into circles
  • 2 raw chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
  • 2-3 raw peppers, cut into thin strips
  • 1 can of tomatoes
  • 1 drop of sesame oil
  • frying fat
  • hot pepper to taste
  • salt and paprika to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Fajita spice (mix of hot red pepper, garlic and ginger)
  • cream cheese spread
  • grated yellow cheese for garnish
  • pitted olives and cut into circles

Method of preparation :

Fry the chicken in hot oil along with the onions and peppers.

 

Add the tomatoes, sesame oil and spices and simmer for about 30 minutes or until the liquid evaporates and the vegetables soften.

Heat the cakes in a hot dry pan. Spread each of them with cream cheese.

 

Add the chicken mixture and garnish with yellow cheese, hot peppers and olives.

 

Roll up and serve the Mexican cakes of your choice with a tarator.
