Required products :

  • 100 grams of dried mushrooms
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 - 4 slices of bread
  • 2 - 3 tablespoons fresh milk or cream
  • 2 hard boiled eggs
  • 3 - 4 tablespoons oil or butter
  • 1 cup crushed walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon breadcrumbs
  • 2 raw eggs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • parsley if desired

Method of preparation :

Soak the mushrooms in water overnight. The next day, boil them and drain the liquid.

Soak the bread in the milk. Finely chop the onion and fry it in the fat.

Mix the mushrooms, onions and bread, grind them. Add finely chopped eggs, walnuts, salt and pepper, raw egg yolks. Stir.

Beat the egg whites until thick and add them to the mushroom "minced meat". Add 1 - 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs. Stir again.

Form meatballs from the resulting mixture, roll them in breadcrumbs and fry in hot fat.

You can serve with a garnish of boiled potatoes or on its own as an appetizer.
