Potato stew is a classic we grew up with, and sometimes we fail to learn how to prepare the most ordinary dishes. Here's how to make a simple potato stew with meat.

Required products :

  • 200 grams of bacon or other fatty meat
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 4-6 stalks of green onions
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons flour
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 tea glass of white wine
  • 1 kg and 300 grams of potatoes
  • 3 teaspoons chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • smoked paprika

Method of preparation :

In a saucepan, fry the bacon until golden and crispy.

Add both types of onions and after they soften, sprinkle with flour and stir, add thyme and bay leaf.

Pour the wine and scrape the burnt remains from the bottom of the vessel. Cook for 2 minutes and add the potatoes, broth and pepper.

Cover with a lid and cook for 45-60 minutes. During this time, the potatoes will soften and crumble.

Sprinkle with smoked paprika if you like. Remove the bay leaf and serve.
