But the question arises: how to preserve a rich harvest of fruits in order to enjoy them all year round. You can freeze, preserve and even dry apricots for the winter.
Dried apricots are a valuable source of potassium and iron, organic acids, pectin. Dried apricots can be added to the dough, prepared sauces from them, and also served as an independent natural treat.
Apricots can be dried with a stone (apricots) or without a stone - dried apricots. Pitted apricots can be dried in an electric dryer, simply cut into halves, or previously soaked in sugar syrup.
Dried apricots for dried apricots will be very similar to those you buy in supermarkets, but much healthier. Before drying, be sure to rinse the fruits well. For drying, choose ripe apricots with firm flesh.
Recipes with the ingredient fresh apricots
Step 1
To properly dry apricots, we need a knife, a vegetable dryer, a saucepan, a colander.

Wash 1 kg apricot well. Divide into several portions.

Bring 1 liter of water to a boil and blanch the apricots in portions for 1 minute each portion.

Immediately chill the apricots in ice water for 1 minute. Put in a colander and let the water drain.

Cut the apricots in half, removing the pits. Arrange the apricot halves in a single layer, cut side up, on the racks of an electric dryer for vegetables and fruits.

Dry dried apricots until tender. This will take approximately 12-15 hours. Store dried apricots in a dry, tightly closed container.

For work, we need apricots - 1 kg, sugar - 500 grams, water - 500 ml, citric acid - 0.25 tsp, colander, saucepan, knife, electric dryer.

Lay the prepared apricot halves cut side up on the drying racks.

Dry until done. This will take approximately 12-15 hours. Store dried apricots in a dry and tightly closed container in a dark place.
