Refined carbohydrates 

A typical example is white bread, the consumption of which creates a favorable environment for the development of fungi and increases the risk of developing a fungal infection.
 
It is also advisable to avoid carbohydrates that have undergone an intensive refining process, such as pasta and cornbread. This reduces the risk of developing an infection . 
 

Sugar

Consumption of large amounts of sugar promotes the growth of fungi. The reason is that fungi like Candida feed on sugar. This means that a diet rich in this ingredient creates a suitable environment for the development and multiplication of these bacteria . 
 
Therefore, it is important to avoid eating sweets such as ice cream , candy, chocolate and syrup. Fruits such as raisins, bananas , prunes and pomegranates can also be high in sugar, so they should not be overdone. 
 

Alcohol


It is also important to limit alcohol consumption , as it promotes the growth of fungi in the body. All types of alcohol , including wine, beer, rum, gin, vodka and whiskey, contain large amounts of yeast. 
 
 
When alcohol consumption is high, the fungus is absorbed into the blood, which increases the risk of developing a fungal infection . Alcoholic beverages also contain a lot of sugar. 
 

Saturated fat

Excessive consumption of saturated fats can disrupt the function of the immune system , which facilitates the growth and development of the fungus . 
 
It is therefore advisable to avoid foods such as whole milk products, processed meats, butter, at the expense of nuts and fatty fish, which are rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids .
