The spice fenugreek stimulates the desire for sex in men over 1/4, scientists have found.
The study involved 60 healthy men aged 25-52 years. Volunteers took an extract of the herb twice a day for 6 weeks.
Male libido levels are reported by experts using a point system to assess the changes that occur after 3 and 6 weeks.
During the period of taking fenugreek, the volunteers increased the levels by an average of 16.1 to 20.6, which is equal to a 28% increase.
For comparison - the results in another group of men taking the pill are significantly more unsatisfactory.
