Spice Stimulates Sexual Desire

The seeds of the fenugreek plant contain ingredients called saponins. They are thought to stimulate the production of male sex hormones, including testosterone.

The spice fenugreek stimulates the desire for sex in men over 1/4, scientists have found.

The study involved 60 healthy men aged 25-52 years. Volunteers took an extract of the herb twice a day for 6 weeks.

Male libido levels are reported by experts using a point system to assess the changes that occur after 3 and 6 weeks.

During the period of taking fenugreek, the volunteers increased the levels by an average of 16.1 to 20.6, which is equal to a 28% increase.

For comparison - the results in another group of men taking the pill are significantly more unsatisfactory.

Fenugreek is a plant of the legume family, known for its spice, which is prepared from its seeds.

Its leaves and seeds were used to treat fever by the ancient Egyptians.

It is often present as a spice in Indian cuisine.

Fenugreek is also an ingredient in "colorful salt", consumed in Bulgaria and other Balkan countries.
