The protein feeding system lasting up to ten days, which we will introduce to you, allows you to lose weight between 4.5 and 10 kilograms for the period. Carbohydrates (their excess in the body is quickly converted into fat) are limited to 200 grams per day.

A few important points regarding the menu

  • In the morning, drink a glass of clean still water (you can add a slice of lemon to the glass).
  • Meat and fish are best grilled, baked or steamed.
  • Salads should be seasoned with lemon juice and olive oil.
  • The ratio of meat / fish / eggs with vegetables should be 2: 1 or for example 200 grams of chicken fillet with 100 grams of cauliflower.
  • Drink about two liters of clean still water daily, which should not be taken during a meal, but half an hour before or after it.
  • The last meal of the day should be no later than 20:00.

 

What should we give up?

Of course, from pasta and confectionery, including various sugar substitutes, also from sausages, high-fat dairy products, cereals, alcohol, marinades, fruit juices, nuts, from vegetables containing starch (potatoes, beets, carrots and others), from legumes, corn, shrimp, squid, pâtés, liver, fast food. Believe it or not, you should not eat fruit, with the exception of lemons and unsweetened berries, of which the most suitable for consumption is cranberry.

What foods to focus on?

It is good to eat lean meats, fish, poultry, low-fat cheeses and kefir. Of the vegetables most useful for this diet are those that contain no more than 5-10 grams of carbohydrates per 100 grams of product: cucumbers, tomatoes (except cherries), cabbage (usually white, cauliflower and Chinese), zucchini, eggplant, radishes, lettuce, sorrel, spinach, asparagus, turnips, celery, green onions.
Eggs are among the allowed foods, and should not be eaten more than 2 every 2-3 days or 1 protein omelet per day.
Other products that should be emphasized: mushrooms, herbs, sprouted seeds, olive oil, water, tea.

How often should we eat?

Eating five times a day - this stimulates metabolism.

Duration and results

The maximum duration of this regime is ten days. We already said at the beginning that it is possible to lose at least 4.5 kilograms, and they could be 10, depending on a number of factors such as physical activity, health, individuality of each organism, overall lifestyle and others.

If you want to lose more weight after the diet, you can repeat it after a two- or three-week break.

Sample menu for the week

  • First breakfast: 1-2 soft-boiled eggs, fresh vegetable salad with 1 teaspoon of olive oil, green tea or coffee without sugar and milk.
  • Breakfast: 45 grams of skim cheese / yellow cheese in a "sandwich" of lettuce.
  • Lunch: two grilled chicken breasts, fresh vegetable salad with 1 teaspoon of olive oil, green tea or coffee without milk and sugar.
  • Afternoon snack: 1 cup of kefir, a handful of berries.
  • Dinner: salmon fillet (tuna, mackerel), roasted vegetables with herbs and grated yellow cheese / cheese.
  • Before bed: 1 cup of skim milk or kefir.


Pros

A diet high in protein (about 30% of food) stimulates the burning of fat, not muscle. It increases insulin sensitivity, thus reducing sugar dependence and the risk of developing diabetes.

According to research conducted by nutritionists at the University of Illinois, such a diet lowers the level of triglycerides in the blood, preventing diseases of the cardiovascular system.


Cons

When fat is burned, a large amount of ketones is formed. These toxic substances provoke the appearance of acidosis - disorders of the acid-base balance in favor of acids. In other words, it is a kind of mini poisoning with substances derived from the breakdown of fats. The more fat we lose, the greater the poisoning and strain on the kidneys and liver. To help these organs get rid of toxins, it is necessary to drink plenty of water. Therefore, the diet is contraindicated for those suffering from kidney and liver diseases, as well as for people with high blood cholesterol levels.
