Instead, it is recommended to use sugar substitutes - xylitol, sorbitol, stevia, etc. the diet requires frequent meals in small portions at the same time.

 

How to eat on diet number 9?

 

Bread and bakery products. No more than 300 grams of rye bread or bran bread is allowed per day. It is preferable to use wholemeal bread, as it has a lower glycemic index. This means that after eating whole grains there is no sharp jump in blood sugar, which is typical for the consumption of white bread. Butter dough products are prohibited .
 

Soups of various fresh vegetables are excellent food for this regime - potatoes, carrots, cabbage, leeks, etc. Meat soups are also suitable. It is important that the meat is fresh and not greasy. Almost all types of meat are suitable, as long as they are not fatty, including fish.
Strong fatty meat broths are not recommended.

 

Meat. Suitable meats for the diet are lean beef or beef, rabbit, lamb, chicken, pork, turkey. Suitable heat treatments are cooking, stewing, baking, after a short cooking. The diet does not allow a lot of fatty meats such as duck, goose meat, smoked foods, canned food, sausages, minced meat, etc.
 

Fish is a useful food for diabetics. It is recommended to eat lean fish - cod, trout, pike, white fish. Consumption of fatty fish as well as canned fish, smoked fish and caviar is not allowed.

 

Milk and dairy products . They are suitable for daily consumption in diet number 9. It is recommended to emphasize skim milk and desalinated cheeses. Consumption of very salty, delicious cheeses and yellow cheese is not recommended.

 

Cereals . Whole grains with a low glycemic index are preferred. Suitable are buckwheat, barley, oats. Limit your intake of white rice, semolina and any white flour pasta

 

Vegetables such as peas, potatoes, carrots contain significant amounts of carbohydrates. Be careful with them. Vegetables such as cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, beets, cabbage, pumpkin, zucchini, etc. are preferred. They can be eaten raw, cooked, baked, rarely fried.
The diet excludes pickled vegetables and pickles.

 

Fruits and confectionery . Suitable fruits with low glycemic index are cherries, watermelon, melon berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries), peach apricots. You should not overdo it with any kind of fruit. Honey is allowed in small portions. On the market you can find a variety of confectionery products suitable for diabetics.


The diet does not allow grapes, raisins, bananas, figs, dates and simple sugars (waffles, ice cream, cakes, etc.)
