A study by Cornell University in the United States involved 68 people. The volunteers are divided into two groups. The first group is placed on a diet with limited food intake , and the second group is without any restrictions on the type of food.

Then both groups enter the grocery store.

The results show that volunteers who are on a diet and are not full buy high-calorie , pasta, sweets and unhealthy products.

The researchers conducted the study twice a day, in the afternoon and evening, and found that in the afternoon, buyingof junk food is significantly higher.
 
Experts advise before going to the grocery store to make a light meal to avoid the frantic hunger that contributes to the temptation to unhealthy foods .

Another method is to shop at a fruit and vegetable store or organic products . In this way, the diet will not be disturbed and the body weight will not be harmed, they added.

The results and data from the study were published in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine .
