Brucellosis

In order to maintain the normal functioning of the body in brucellosis, it is necessary that your menu consists mainly of natural foods that contribute to improving the work of the liver, stomach, nervous, cardiovascular.

Brucellosis is an infectious disease of a zoonotic nature, affecting the musculoskeletal, genital and nervous systems. The main cause of infection is cattle infected with Brucella-type bacteria.

It is transmitted from animal to human through damaged skin (even minor scratches), mucous membranes (in contact with the animal) or through contaminated food.

Useful foods for brucellosis

In order to maintain the normal functioning of the body in brucellosis, it is necessary that your menu consists mainly of natural foods that contribute to improving the liver, stomach, nervous, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems, as they are most severely affected by the disease.

So consume Products of animal origin:
  • dairy (including cheese and cottage cheese), meat and fish dishes prepared from lean fish and meat, liver, eggs (quail, chicken), seafood;
Products of plant origin:
  • fruits (kiwi, citrus, bananas, blackcurrants, peaches, apricots, apples, raspberries, strawberries, avocados, rose hips);
  • vegetables (including leafy) - potatoes, broccoli, peppers, carrots, pumpkin, beets, cucumbers, horseradish, parsley, wheat germ;
  • walnuts and seeds (dates, almonds, walnuts, peanuts, flaxseed, sesame);
  • vegetable fats - olive oil, pumpkin, flaxseed, sesame, sunflower oil);
  • dried fruits, porridges, cereals - buckwheat, rice, wheat, oats
  • nuts, millet;
  • drinks - freshly squeezed juices, compotes, green tea and tea from flowers and leaves of linden, strawberries, blackcurrants, cherries;
  • Bee products.

Food should not be too greasy and heavy for the gastrointestinal tract. It is appropriate to steam, boil or stew dishes. You should limit yourself from fried foods.

In the presence of brucellosis, it is good to eat at the same time, portions to be small, and hot soups to be present daily in the menu.

 

Dangerous and harmful food products in brucellosis:

  • Freshly baked bread;
  • fatty meats and fish;
  • spicy and salty marinades, spices, herbs and sauces;
  • Cafe;
  • cocoa and chocolate;
  • sweet carbonated drinks;
  • alcohol;
  • semi-finished products, canned food and sausages;
  • raw milk;
  • uncooked steaks, bloody, raw or semi-raw meat;
  • legumes, radishes, garlic, onions, sorrel.
