This diet requires eating 100 grams of chocolate daily and nothing more. This amount can be consumed at once, but it is best to divide it into 3 intakes (or more) throughout the day. Each meal of chocolate should be combined with a cup of unsweetened coffee (possibly with skim milk). Coffee speeds up metabolism, which helps to lose weight .

The chocolate diet is better to follow using bitter natural pure chocolate (without additives such as raisins, etc.).

The use of salt, sugar and alcoholic beverages is not allowed. You should also refrain from juices (including natural), carbonated water and drinks that stimulate the appetite. Vegetables and fruits are also among the banned products.

Drink liquids (water, green tea) no earlier than 3 hours after eating chocolate and drinking coffee. The amount of water should be not less than 1.2 liters per day. If you manage to drink more - even better. You can repeat the diet at the earliest after a month (and preferably after more time), because it deals a significant blow to the body.

Menu for the classic chocolate diet:

  • Breakfast - 30 g of natural chocolate (without nuts, raisins, etc.), a cup of unsweetened coffee;
  • Lunch - 30 g of dark chocolate and a cup of coffee;
  • Dinner - 30 g of bitter chocolate and a cup of coffee.

You can do only 1 unloading day, the menu is the same as the diet.

  • For fans of sweets, this is an ideal way to lose weight without losing their favorite treat, which is strictly forbidden in most diets for weight loss;

Disadvantages of the chocolate diet:

  • The biggest inconvenience of the diet is that before undergoing it, you should consult a specialist and it should be carried out under medical supervision;
  • The chocolate diet normalizes neither metabolism nor nutrition;
  • After such starvation, the body finds it more difficult to get used to another diet;
  • The diet is not balanced in terms of fat, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.

Contraindications to the chocolate diet:

  • For diabetics (congenital and acquired);
  • In the presence of allergies;
  • In liver disease;
  • In gallstones or cholelithiasis;
  • In hypertension, the first signs of which can be confused with simple fatigue (here the determining factor is not chocolate, but the large amount of coffee, which suggests diet).
