Required products :

  • 700 grams of carrots, cut into 5-centimeter pieces
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon dry sherry
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 3/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons ginger powder
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped green onions

Method of preparation :

  • Blanch the carrots for about 2 minutes in a saucepan with boiling salted water. Drain well.
  • In a glass, mix the vinegar, soy sauce and dry sherry. Stir.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, black pepper and salt.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.
  • Add the ginger and stir vigorously for no more than 10 seconds.
  • Add the carrots and cook for another 1 minute.
  • Sprinkle with dressing and spices, stir and after about 1 minute remove the pan from the heat.
  • Serve the carrots immediately, sprinkled with green onions.
