Necessary products:

  • 1 cup pitted dates, chopped
  • 1/4 cup beets, finely grated
  • 1/4 cup baby spinach, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 and 1/2 cups coconut shavings

* A tea cup is used to measure the quantities.

Method of preparation:

Blend the dates, beets, spinach, oats and chia seeds until smooth. Make small balls of the resulting mixture and roll them in coconut shavings. Put in the freezer for 1 hour to firm up.

You can replace the beets with 1/4 cup of raisins and add 2 tablespoons of cocoa and 1 tablespoon of honey to the other ingredients. Blend until smooth and roll the shaped candies in cocoa powder, coconut shavings or crushed nuts.
