Required products :

  • 16 medium-sized mushrooms
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons butter, unsalted
  • 2 tablespoons thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 5 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method of preparation :

  • Wash the mushrooms thoroughly and cut the stumps near the base.
  • Heat the oil in a large skillet and lightly fry them with the cap down for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Arrange the mushrooms in a fireproof glass dish with the stumps facing up.
  • In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, garlic, thyme, lemon juice and spices.
  • Spread the garlic oil on the mushrooms.
  • Sprinkle them with breadcrumbs and lightly press down to make sure they stay on them.
  • Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven until golden brown.
  • Serve the garlic mushrooms as a warm appetizer or as a side dish.
