Required products :
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, pressed
- 1 medium carrot, finely grated
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 800 grams of canned tomatoes, mashed
Method of preparation :
- Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add onions, garlic and carrots. Stir and cook for about 3 minutes until softened.
- Add basil, oregano, salt, pepper and mashed tomatoes. Stir.
- Once the tomato sauce has boiled, reduce the heat and cover the pan with a lid.
- Let it simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and distribute in clean glass jars.
- Close tightly and turn them upside down until completely cooled. Store in a dark and cool place.
- Use for pizzas, dishes or various recipes containing tomato sauce.
