The diet of the French nutritionist and nutritionist Dr. Pierre Ducan continues to lose popularity. What gains so many supporters?

According to Dr. Ducan's diet, you can eat as much as you want a day, in unlimited quantities. But you will have to follow two or three other requirements.
First feature
To lose weight on Dr. Ducan's diet, you will need to eat mostly foods that contain mainly protein. That is why the diet is defined as protein. Unlike Dr. Atkins' modern diet years ago, which excluded only carbohydrates from the permitted foods, Dr. Ducan also restricted high-fat foods. So the foods recommended in this protein regimen are mostly pure protein, no carbs, low in fat.
The diet is defined as protein not only because of the mainly protein food that is consumed. Dr. Ducan's diet goes through 4 stages. The first stage consists of eating only protein foods. The duration of this first protein stage and how many stages of the diet you will go through is individual and depends on the weight you need to lose.
When you need to lose more than 5 pounds go through all four stages of the diet. The average duration of this first stroke stage is 5 days. When you need to lose between 10 and 20 kg, this period is between 5 and 10 days. If we have to lose between 5 and 10 kg, 3 pure protein days will be enough. For those who want to get rid of no more than 5 kg, they should only have one day of protein food.
However, the regime of Dr. Pierre Ducan does not leave us to determine the weight that is right for us and the weight we need to lose. Its calculator takes into account height, hereditary tendency to gain weight, minimum achieved and maximum achieved weight, kilograms that have been maintained for the longest time without much effort, whether other diet regimens have been applied and what is their success, age, gender, number of spent pregnancies for women, takes into account the current weight. And most importantly, Dr. Dukan takes into account the individual characteristics of the bone system, what bone structure we have. The test to determine this feature is easy and actually well known in fitness centers - measuring the length of the wrist circumference. There are three degrees that Dr. Ducan involves: whether we overlap our fingers, we just touch them or we don't reach them when we grasp the wrist of the other with the thumb and forefinger of one hand. Observations are that weight, which determines the calculator to be suitable, is 2-3 kg more than desired for women. So the regime strives to be really healthy.
The second feature
Mainly because of the type of food consumed during this diet, protein, to avoid constipation, the menu includes daily intake of 3 tablespoons of oat bran. This is probably one of the most difficult parts of the diet because bran requires special supplies. They are in diet stores. It is important to note that oat bran cannot be replaced with oatmeal. Nuts are generally excluded in this mode.
Oat bran can possibly be replaced with wheat, but with the warning that they swell the stomach, which makes them less suitable. It is desirable to take oat bran until noon. They can usually be taken with a glass of liquid or mixed into a glass of skim yogurt. Bran can also be used in foods that can be prepared according to special recipes, including only the permitted products in the diet.
