A bit of history
Buffets came to us from France and the French designated this collective meal standing with the word "fork" - "fourchette" - in honor of the main cutlery used by guests at the buffet table.
In the west, the buffet quickly took its positions, but it took a very long time to get to Russia. Most likely because we have adopted lush, wide feasts.
At the buffet table, guests eat standing up. They choose their own treats and put them on their plate.
In the buffet menu you will not find complex hot dishes or large portions. Dishes are served in such a way that it is convenient to chop them on a fork; serving in small bowls, wine glasses or tartlets is also popular.
Have a great holiday!
