How to freeze blackberries

Blackberries are a very useful berry, but we can enjoy fresh blackberries for a fairly short time (July-August). In the blackberry season, every housewife wants to prepare this healthy and tasty berry for the winter for future use.

You can make jam, jam, canned compote, assorted compote and pie from blackberries. One of the most preferred ways of harvesting blackberries is freezing, as many vitamins and nutrients are lost during the heat treatment of berries. The calorie content of frozen blackberries in its pure form is 35.43 kcal.

Blackberries can be frozen in the freezer in many ways: whole berries, in sugar syrup, in the form of berry puree with sugar and sprinkled with layers of a little sugar. Depending on where you will later use the frozen blackberries, choose the right way to freeze.

Berries before freezing should be carefully sorted out, removing all debris. You can not pre-wash the blackberries if you are sure that the berries are clean. For freezing at home, it is better to choose intact, strong, elastic berries.
