In the white mushrooms have a large amount of riboflavin than in other species. This substance is important for the growth and strength of nails, hair and skin; for the body as a whole; to maintain normal thyroid function.

White mushrooms are used as a remedy for tuberculosis, exhaustion, to improve metabolism. Dried mushrooms contain the alkaloid hepcidin, which is used in the treatment of angina. Aqueous extracts of white mushrooms are healing for ulcers and frostbite.

The plant contains vitamins A, B1, C and a lot of E. In addition, it has many useful substances, some of which have anti-edematous properties. Dried white mushrooms are used successfully for cancer prevention.

This species does not lose its color when dried, unlike other varieties that darken and even turn black.
