Drink Milk To Lose Weight

Drinking two glasses of low-fat milk a day not only protects against osteoporosis, but also helps to lose weight ...

The results of a new study conducted by Israeli scientists show that regular consumption of milk not only protects against osteoporosis, but also helps to lose weight, reports Science Daily.

The study involved more than 300 overweight men and women between the ages of 40 and 65. The volunteers were divided into several groups and subjected to various low-calorie diets for a period of two years. Some participants had to drink two glasses of milk every day, while others were advised to avoid dairy products.

After the end of the experiment, the researchers found that participants who drank two glasses of milk a day during this period, regardless of the type of diet they followed, lost more weight than those who avoided or rarely consumed dairy products.

Another study conducted by Canadian scientists also showed that consuming low-fat milk after a workout leads to the accumulation of more muscle mass and, at the same time, the loss of more subcutaneous fat.

The study showed that women who exercised daily and drank 2 glasses of milk a day replaced fat with muscle faster than women who consumed energy and tonic drinks.

The study is based on a study done among women who have not been active in the past and have not done strength exercises. All participants had to do weight training daily. The women were divided into two groups. The first group had to drink 500 ml. Low-fat milk after training, and the second - the same amount of energizing drinks.

One month after the start of the study, it was found that volunteers who consumed milk reduced their subcutaneous fat to a greater extent and gained more muscle mass.

The authors of the study add that the consumption of milk and dairy products significantly improves the health of women.
